Chrysler LeBaron Turbo GTC
Sounds sporty. I'm not sure which engine it has, mostly because I don't know the year, but it should have at least 175 hp off the showroom floor. I'm gonna pretend it has the 2.2T4 (according to Wikipedia) and it's one of 123 ever produced (according to Wikipedia). That would make it quite the unicorn.

I got to park a turbo LeBaron during a summer job in high school. I couldn’t find reverse because you had to push the knob down...

I remember some 2000's VW’s had shifters like that too.

I thought all the “GTC”s were convertibles. I didn’t know the coupes came that way too. My mother had a red 85 “GTS” sedan with a 2.2 Turbo I, and she cried dearly when she totaled it. (Which she replaced with a brand new ‘93 Daytona)

A good buddy of mine had that car a few years back, manual too. We put straight 3" exhaust all the way back from the turbo, a blowoff valve, bigger IC, 5th injector, manual boost controller, a diode on the map sensor( a ghetto way of keeping the pcm from cutting power) etc etc.
Thing was a blast on the street! Nobody knew what that weird grey car that just dusted their Honda was. It wasnt “fast” by any means, but it pissed of alot of the import people at the time.

seen one in the wild too, but the one i saw was a convertible with the fake wood paneling. had the turbo badge and everything. didnt think that theyd still be moving this many years later.
